Burt’s Bees Res-Q Ointment

Another Flight Attendant must-have.

Burt’s Bees features natural, environmentally-friendly and effective personal hygienic and care products.  They only use premium and lab-tested ingredients in their products.  Half of their products contain 100% natural ingredients, and the rest is 99% natural!  Even their packaging is made from recycled or recyclable materials.Truly green.

I found their products very effective and comforting, especially their Res-Q Ointment. It is a dark green, glossy cream with a distinct, but yet refreshing smell.  It is great for bruises (from elbows, legs and armrests), burns (from galley oven and steamy chicken casserole), scratches (from carrier and trolley sharp edges), and bumps (from hitting onto trolleyes and seats). I always carry it in my mini personal caring satchel when I fly.

Res-Q Ointment

Res-Q Ointment contains comfrey and allantoin, which are known for their healing and anti-inflammatory properties, according to their website. It also contains lavandi, which prevents scarring (GREAT!).   As soon as injury occurs, sanitize the injured site, pat dry and apply a thin layer of Res-Q Ointment.  Of course, only for minor injury.  When I first started as a flight attendant, I got bumps all over my knuckles on my fingers. They were red, painful and ugly.  I didn’t know what they were.  I did some research on the internet and couldn’t find an answer.  Read the rest of this entry »
