Hidden camera investigation on how room service actually cleans your rooms drinking glasses. NASTY!
This is absolutely gross! The worst is where the housekeeper sniffed the soiled hand towel, used it to wipe the “rinsed” glasses and put them back on the counter for the next guests. I was told by an ex-housekeeper that another common money saving practice is REFILLING used shampoo and lotion! Don’t use toiletries provided by the hotel, unless they are in a squeeze tube!
Some life-saving tips when laying over at a hotel:
Use your own pillow case and towels - even though the hotel pillow case and towels probably get washed, you don’t know how clean the laundry room is.
Cover the remote control with the disposal shower cap found in the bathroom. I highly doubt the remote control ever gets cleaned. Remote controls are very filthy - the previous guest might have done the followings before touching the control
-used the loo and didn’t wash their hands
-scratched their dirty scalp
-picked their nose
Bring your own shampoo and lotion
Don’t use the glasses to drink or rinse your mouth
